Radio Shack. Pro -163

I have a radio shack pro 163 analog, my question is this scanner able to be changed over to a digital radio and if so would it be worth the cost ? Most of the channel broadcasts here in my part of Mi. are in digital form of which I can't receive now.

There is no way to change the PRO-163 scanner to a digital capable unit.

You'll have to buy a new, digital scanner if you want to receive digital transmissions.

It is possible to put in a discriminator tap and use programs like DSD+ and UniTrunker. I would caution, however, that setting this up is not really newcomer-friendly
