Saw this yesterday on sale for $99.95. Does anyone know anything about this scanner. I would be interested in scanning in Collierville, TN, Shelby and Fayette counties and in northern Misissippi--primarily DeSoto and Marshal Counties. intrerested mainly in Police and Fire.

The 404 does not cover 800MHz and is not a trunking scanner. No text tags, no PL/DCS codes.

Some of the counties you list show some 800MHz frequencies (even though not trunked), and for Shelby, the Memphis/Shelby TRS is mixed mode, analog & digital trunked. Most of the public safety (fire & law enforcement) is digital.
