Radio Shack pro 652

I am picking this radio up next week and don't find the Pro652 listed in radios that I can upload freq. I sure hope so. Anyone here know?

The Pro 652 is Whistler-manufactured for Radio Shack. It is identical to the formerly-GRE-manufactured Pro 197. With software you can load frequencies/trunked information into the scanner, or you can manually program the scanner using its buttons. With a Premium Subscription to RR, you can use software to download frequencies from the RR Database into the scanner. The scanner is not P25-Phase 2 capable.

When you get it, if you have questions, you probably will get the best assistance by creating a new thread in either the "Radio Shack Scanners" forum, or in (your state's) forum. Folks there likely will be able to best help you with the particular scanner, and/or with direct knowledge about how to monitor your community-of-interest.

I apologize for the lack of clarification, and thank you for clarifying the point about cross-posts. Certainly, cross-posts should be avoided.

My suggestion's intent was not that this thread be duplicated in another forum, only that new, individually-separate, topic-specific questions, would get better answers in the appropriate forum (probably not the Wiki-forum, where this one started)..
