Guess I missed something from all the posts? Do I use the IScan program software that came with the 668? or will I have to get a copy of the EZScan software also? Thanks

Id also like to mention that with the DSP3 update my 688 seems to work better on the local Phase 1 trunk system. Im happy to get DMR and very happy its decoding much better.

I've been able to pick up P25 Phase I in areas that were dead zones (such as "downtown" here, although not much "downtown" here but a crap ton of cell/radio/TV towers and a ton of RF interference, compared to the stock 668 firmware. It helps being able to tweak the site thresholds, lockout certain sites, directly from the scanner as opposed to having to use iScan to do it.

I am very sorry. Those of you that have sent me PMs and I have not replied, forgive me. I have been very sick today. My bp is through the roof, and my heart rate is 130-150. I keep passing out for long periods. I have lower abdominal pain, and a low grade fever. They are taking me to the hospital. Very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

you can read here about the pro 668 and pro 18 I would say it Is in your best to read the post pick up the tips but no you can not brick the scanner as it can be reloaded with the RS firmware just like it never happened

I did the upgrade yesterday and tested phase 2 along with everything else in my area I could think of. Works great. No problems at all.
