Radio Shack PRO-82 Mods???

Picked up one of these at the local Rat Shack for $79.99.

I am wondering if this radio can be modified to pick up the 66-88Mhz band (basically turn it into a European model).

The radio looks suprisingly similar to the GRE PSR282:

I know similar Radio Shack units in the past could be easily modified by removal/re-arrangement of one or more SMT components.

Anybody hacked this one? I see nothing on www.mods.dk site.

other than the backlight, color of the buttons and the up and down button it looks exactly like my 82
