Radio Shack Pro2067

I am trying o program a Pro2067. I have a usb cable and am using Win92 V00.46 that I downloaded from starrsoft.com. The program looks like it is uploading to the scanner but when it is complete, nothing is actually uploaded to the scanner. I am running Windows 10.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Are you using the stereo male plug or do you have the stereo to mono adapter on the program cable?

The cable looks like it has a stereo plug with a mono plug adapter. I've tried both connections.

It has to have the mono plug adapter. Also did you look up the serial com address Com 2 com 3 ect and set that address in win 92?

The com port was set. After it appears to upload the file, it looks for some authentication code, it 5 2-digit numbers. It can't seem to find this code on the scanner.

Well I can not program my 2067 without the mono adapter on my RADIOSHACK BRAND USB cable.
It works fine with my RADIOSHACK 9 pin original program cable.
Starting with the gre BUILT PRO 163 AND PRO 164 when the adapter was no longer needed. The PRO 92 and PRO 2067 as well as the PRO 96 and PRO 2096 have to have the adapter. Owning all of the above I know what is required to program the scanners.

Interesting. Using the GRE 30-3290 cable (equivalent to the RadioShack 20-047 and 20-546 cables) I am able to read and write to my PRO-96 and PRO-2055 scanners both with the adapter and without, as suggested on Mr. Starr's Cable Page.

I can write to my PRO-92 no problem with my 20-546 cable and no adapter, as well.

I've tried the cable with the stereo and mono adapter. I still can't get the scanner programmed. My next step is to purchase the actual Radio Shack brand cable and see if that works. In the meantime, after the software looks as if it uploaded the files to the scanner, it looks for validation. It says "Looking for 01 98 03 52"

Any idea what these numbers mean?
