I have a Pro-94. That should pick up a fair amount of still stuff i thought. I got the trunk sp an local pd. But the rest is tough to find. I had an old scanner bc 45xlt 20ch. that cheap thing found more then this $179 "Pro-94"brand. I hope when i get the $$ i can get a worthwhile scanner! :?

The PRO-94 was made by the same company that made your BC45XLT. Uniden made them both. The PRO-94 is an OK scanner, but not great. The PRO-95 and PRO-96 are way better, but they should be for the price...

For seeking new stuff and confirming it,.. the 94 is not good,.. its best at monitoring things you already know for sure about.. for searching you want a scanner that has CTCSS/CDCSS information at the very least. This includes models like the PRO-92, 96, etc.

Hi all,

I'm looking at RadioShack as well. What's the difference between Pro94 ($120) and Pro95 ($200)? Are they not digital like Pro96 ($500)?

thanks

Well the price difference should say it all for you. Obviously they are not digital at those prices. All the digital scanners are going to cost you anywhere from $450. to $550. depending on the model and where you buy one.

Between the two named above I would go for the pro 95 simply because it has more features and can be programmed easily with the Win 95 software.
