I tried a PRO-97 awhile ago. Not too impressed. Plenty of features and a cool display, but my PRO-43 blew it away in performance, especially on the airbands!

The 43 might be a bit more sensitive but, I still enjoy the heck out of my 97. If you want trunking performance in a handheld at a good price.

I just picked up the pro2055 today from RS for 150. I have to replace the one I had the pro 2067 had it since the first day it came out. It will not RX anymore than it will and it quits again. Im going to save money up again and get the 996.
