"Radio Snobbery" sometimes it's subtle, unintentional and innocuous, sometimes it's in-your-face offensive. A person may not even be aware of it, others knowingly practice it. Radio Snobbery can take many forms, so I'd like input from others as to what manifestations of it they've seen and if you think the example you use can affect the hobby in a negative or positive manner. Please though, do not refer to any specific incident(s) you witnessed as an example, throwing someone under the bus, rather the type of action.

Mmm.. radio snobbery.. on radio reference? You could probably find that trait. You'll find humbleness, you will find ignorance, you will find professionalism, you will find rudeness but I guess that goes with the ignorance, you will find politeness, graciousness, joking in good faith, joking that offends and hurts, even occasional viciousness, and I suppose some radio snobbery.

Hey, if you've got the money and you can buy expensive equipment and you're a snob why not rub it in people's faces. They care a lot less than you think they do.😄

Snob=. person who feels superior due to their social class, education level, or social status in general
One can be a “nice”snob or a obnoxious one. I know, this is an oxymoron👿. If we use only the education level definition and apply just to our hobby, then individually we can feel like a snob because of vast experience and knowledge earned over many years, BUT this should be an inner feeling and NOT obnoxiously presented to others just to boost ourselves. We can rightly feel superior in knowledge in a certain area without being obnoxious. Notice the key word is “feel”, not display to others.
Am I a snob? I try not to be, since I have experienced others who definitely display their snobbiness and look down on others.
Having said all this, maybe we should consider ourselves highly educated in our specialties rather than snobs📚📖😉
