I was just watching a documentary on North Korea, and it sparked a question in my mind. Is there anyone in South Korea who engages in radio reception scanning? What is the law in South Korea on this? If it's allowed, is anyone there close enough to the DPRK border that they're able to monitor DPRK radio traffic? Or does the DPRK not use radio communications beyond things like Voice of Korea? I figured someone in South Korea would know at least some of these things.

With the DPRK being so closed-off to the world, I'm curious about what radio monitors in South Korea (if there are any) are hearing with regards to radio signals that waft across the border into the south.
