Ok folks, we're live now on RadioReference.com 4.1

We have a lot of bugs and issues to work through this week - so be patient with us as we get through them.

The major items we are working on right now are the audio archiving functions for the live audio sections. Some of the migration related to that has not gone as smoothly as expected, however we'll get it fixed.

Please post to this thread any MAJOR problems you see - such as blatant broken components or major errors.

Again, please be patient as we work through all the items of this complete changeover.

Warm regards,

Let me be the first to say congratulations. Took a little longer than expected, heh? :D

One thing I see is that the premium subscriber icons are missing...

could not login to the "new" forum location using the authentication box in the top header (where it now says 'Welcome, joescanner...')

When I attempted to reply, I got the login page and that allowed me to login as expected.

Using firefox 3.0.11, no plug-ins enabled, cleared the cache and cookies with no effect.

All depends on how you look at it. Lindsay covered his ass with the 4:00 PM March 21 time - effectively giving 9 months of legroom :)

Mike

There appears to be a bit of a bug logging in using the User/Password prompt at the top right of the Forum pages... Entering the information goes in to a constant loop of never actually logging in.

I then tried the forced log in screen when replying to this thread which failed to log in when I clicked on the "click here if not automatically..." link, bringing me back to the log in page. Entering the data then allowing the page to automatically refresh after the "Welcome IdaScan" page to display finally let me log in... 5th times a charm I guess LOL :)

This was using Windows Vista Home Premium under Firefox 3 and IE7... Also tried with Windows XP MCE under Firefox 3 with the same results. Just tried logging in with Windows 7 and Firefox and even allowing it to refresh wouldn't let me log in.

Otherwise the changes look great!

Nice job on the live feed integration (you too Gordon)! Also, thanks for the premium subscription for all us feed providers :) Couple questions guys:

1) Does that premium freebie continue year-to-year as long we provide feeds?
2) How will we be receiving the listener statistics and other feed data we used to get from Gordon?
3) Who do we contact at RR for feed-related Q&A, trouble-shooting etc.?

Thanks!

The "My Live Audio Feeds" link from Live Audio -> Become a feed provider (RadioReference.com - Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference) points to "dev" (http://dev.radioreference.com/apps/account/?tab=la) which does not exist. The My Live Audio Feeds link does work ok from the Account page.

Also, we had links to additional details such as frequencies and talkgroups included on various feeds. I see there is the "Additional feed information and archives" link, will that page allow us to include the additional information?

Congrats on making it to V4.1 -- It's really a major milestone piece of work. You should be proud.

2nd edit of this post... I'm seeing intermittent problems connecting to feeds in Winamp (etc) via URLs such as: http://audio2.radioreference.com:80/nh_hillsborough -- I'm getting "not found", then "connection timed out", then sometimes it works.

Just wanted to be sure you were aware,

Peter

Good one.. I got it fixed.

Absolutely - you can specify your own info, in addition to links to your own pages.

See your feed management page for the options.

FYI - I'm now seeing the same issue as PeterGV reported. The URL being used for my feeds "http//audio2.radioreference.com:80/manchester" for example, are getting connection time outs and not found most of the time. Sometimes it does establish a connection.

FYI - I'm having alot of problems connected to my feeds using both windows media player and the web player. (or any of the feeds). No connections at all or the connection times-out.. Its hit / miss as I did get connected after about 10 tries . Once connected it works okay but takes several attempts..
