They look like decades old large boxy portables. I was just curious as to the brand and model.

That's an Icom IC-M504 fixed mount VHF Marine radio.

Oh yeah, that's the one the used in the scene where the crazy family is trying to direction find their prey. They try to make it look like a radio direction finding device. Thanks man. But what are the handhelds?

Never saw the movie. Only going by what they showed in the trailer.

The model is printed at the top of the radio. Looks something out of Navcom.
