the 2052 i have dated o8a99 yr i guess was made, i use it 95% time for milair comms, is there any soft wear to update it for milcoms and what does it do or improve .. on the unit..i looked at wiki etc but not sure which one if any also i guess i have to use a cable fm the pc.//. bobf9f5

None of the software changes anything on the scanner with regards to MilAir, or any other bands. The software if used to create/edit/load/save/backup frequencies, and in some instances, control the scanner.

My favorite software for use with the PRO-2052 would be ScanControl. In addition to the functions mentioned above, you can also use it for logging activity into a file, showing activity, number of hits, etc. It can also record the audio. It works very well and can be used with numerous Uniden scanners.

It also has "DataGrabber", for importing frequencies directly from Radio Reference's Database.
