With the start of RAGBRAI in a few hours. Anyone know what the frequency is for the sag wagons and other official vehicle ? I know they use 2 way radios in the sag wagons and to mark to route.

Maybe all so list any other special frequency that might be in use this coming week.

Looks like some HAMS will be using 146.52 MHz as the ride RAGBRAI with there radios on there bikes.

The official RAGBRAI frequency for SAG wagons is 151.955. The also operate on 155.475 so that each county can contact them. Last year there was some activity on 146.520, but not much.

Sounds like they had some sort of accident around Tama. They are trying to get a school bus into the accident site and are requesting a TI for the accident investigation.

If all the RAGBRAI traffic wasn't bad enough, a tour bus was hit by a car on US30 4 miles west of here with multi injurys also called the IHP for TI. Bus in ditch on side.

Looks like we were typing at the same time. US30 is closed at US63, traffic is backed up, trying to reroute on the same road as the bikes are coming into town on. What a mess.

Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center is using talk group 15-106 on the RACOM system for large scale Emergencey. The hospital is full, 30 some "walking wounded" are being treated at the Settlement casino. Sounds like US30 should be opened up shortly.

Ragbrai 2010

Bringing this thread back around for Ragbrai 2010. I am bringing a handheld with me for the first time. Any updates on freqs used by Ragbrai management/sag wagons? And what about the ISP troopers detailed to traffic/booze control during the week?

To late for this year but heard CARE Ambulance providing RAGBRAI medical services on TalkGroup 02-012 on the Black Hawk County System.

The big question then is how does this work as they travel across the state?
