Hey all. Hope you’re well.
Hoping someone can give me a quick hand.
I’m visually impaired/blind, so can’t read maps/graphics.
Currently spending time in Sudbury, ON, and looking to do some rail scanning.
Am I correct in understanding, the CN Bala and CP Cartier subs are The ones that run closest to the city proper?
I do know both companies have trackage around here.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, in Sudbury there are 3 major railways, CN, CP ,Ottawa Valley Railway, and Huron Central Railway (the latter 2 being Genesee & Wyoming owned). You should be able to hear any communications to RTC's on their respective Stand-By channels I have listed Below for you.

CN Bala Sub uses CN Ch 1 161.415 (AAR Ch 87, This is used in almost all of Ontario as a Mainline Standby Channel with the exception to a few lines in Toronto that are in close Proximity of other lines)
CP Perry Sound Sub uses CP Ch 5 161.325 (AAR Ch 81)
CP Cartier Sub uses CP Ch 7 161.535 (AAR Ch 95)
OVR Cartier Sub 160.335 (AAR Ch 15)
HCRY Webbwood Sub (bought form CP) Ch 1 161.475 (AAR Ch 87)

Hope this helps and happy listening.
