Rail Road Frequencies Questions.

Are there any 800/900 Megacycle frequencie used by the Rail Roads?
I know that there are some in the 400 Megacycle band for end of Train Telemetry and some in the 160 Megacycleband that use Hot Boxes.

Yes, the 800/900 MHz frequencies are for ATCS and RDC.

And before you ask what ATCS stands for, read about it here:

RDC is remote radio control for engines.

EOTs use 457.9375, front end devices are on 452.9375.

All other radio communications are 160.2150 - 161.5650 MHz,
that is changing somewhat to narrowband. Hotboxes/Defect Detectors
operate on the Road channels.

MCP = Mobile Control Point
BCP = Base Control Point
