Hi, does anyone know what frequency this organization uses? I tried to do a look up but I couldn't find anything.

Ok thanks, I figured they were in New York because my dept worked with them trying to locate a missing person and I noticed they had portable radios and they weren't on our channel.

Sorry yeah, I spoke too quickly that's why I deleted my post.

They are historically a NJ organization, but they do have ties to NY. I believe specifically in Orange County (Chester). I also believe that NYS Park Police Bear Mountain can also activate them.

I'm unsure what frequencies they operate on. I was under the impression that they operated on local frequencies.

When were they up in the Valley? Recently?

By the way, I believe they have VHF radios, not UHF, which explains why they weren't on Tac-3. Were they on 711's channel maybe?

It was 4 or 5 months ago we were mutual aid to New City to search for that missing person, don't know if you remember that.
Also they weren't on new city's tac, maybe Clarkstown pd channel.

It was recently brought to our attention that two radio licenses, WPCV253 and WPEJ800, which have been assigned to the American Rescue Dog Association (ARDA) for over 20 years, were inappropriately transferred to the Ramapo Rescue Dog Association (Ramapo) in March 2011. This transfer was unauthorized and we request that this be reversed and that the licenses are transferred back to the American Rescue Dog Association. My understanding is that this transfer is in violation of FCC Rule 1.948 in that it is an unauthorized assignment or transfer of control of the licenses from ARDA to Ramapo without the notification nor approval of ARDA and the FCC.

While Ramapo was previously a member unit of the ARDA, they withdrew from the organization in February 2006 and since that time Ramapo has not had any association with ARDA nor are any of their members ARDA officers or members of the ARDA Board of Directors. In March 2009, ARDA updated its registration information in the CORES system to reflect their new mailing address, contact phone, and contact person, thus removing the previous point of contact, Tim Sullivan, who was and still is a member of the Ramapo Rescue Dog Association. This update was assigned the FCC Registration Number, 0004-2481-18 and was dated March 17, 2009. Up until the unauthorized change of information in March 2011 the information reflected in the CORES system was correct.

I appreciate your prompt attend to this matter as it affects our operational status and our ability to respond to emergencies.

Basically, the licenses are not Ramapo's, and there may be some foul play at work.

Dog channel

Chances are if they are in NYS working on a search they are working with local SAR teams. NYS SAR Mutual Aid channel is 155.160 with 131.8 PL. I have worked with them numeorus times and this is what we have used.
