Order of Malta Ambulance is an Irish ambulance company. I'm sure they use a more-or-less standard radio system since the big manufacturers sell to the whole world, not just Ireland, so the radios are probably the same. You need to know the country, county and city where you want to listen to them and then you might be able to find something. Just asking if you can scan the Order of Malta doesn't help us to help you very much.

Like it or not, this web-site is USA-based and 99% of its members are from North America. Nobody on this side of the pond is likely to have ever heard of Order of Malta. I certainly didn't but with a Google search I finally figured out what "Order of Malta" was. Before that I had no clue. Could be a town, a religious group, or some historical edict - nobody but a local to where you are would know the reference.

So you're asking if we, in North America, picked up an Irish public safety radio???

Not on your life...

Now, if you're asking if anyone in Ireland picks it up, there should be no reason why they couldn't pick it up. I'm sure someone in the area knows the frequencies. I'd ask around the local electronics stores which sell scanners.

If you are talking about the live audio portion of the site...I checked under Ireland and surprisingly there are some feeds. They are either Marine Radio or Amateur Radio broadcasts.

You do understand how live feeds work, don't you? Someone local to the area sets up a spare scanner to receive the channel and then feeds it through his computer and broadband Internet connection to the Radio Reference servers.

What you need to do is find someone with a scanner who can do this - then, and only then, can it be set up as a live feed. It's not up to Radio Reference, it's up to the volunteer scanner owners to provide live feeds.

No need to be sorry. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask because you're afraid to sound stupid. That's how we all learn - ask questions. Question everything.

But that doesn't mean you won't get crapped on for not reading the stickies and researching things...
