Hey everyone,

Was going to see if anyone knows the Rankin County MS tone outs for each volunteer fire dept and reservoir fire. I have looked everywhere but have not had any luck. I know for a fact the Rankin County Pager frequency is 155.07000MHz. Just need help finding the tone outs for each volunteer dept and reservoir fire since they do use the Motorola Minitor VI pagers. If anyone knows and could share this information it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! I actually have a Motorola XTS2500 recieve only non affiliate scan for all phase 1 digital talk groups and all Madison county talk groups along with JSU Pd and capital pd since they apparently use the Madison towers. I was wanting to get a Motorola Minitor VI like I used to have on Langford VFD. I can get one and I know the frequency, do you know how I can find out the tones for each individual dept? On the VHF pager frequency (155.07000MHz). Or maybe I could contact Jackson communications maybe they could help? Any suggestions? A while back they were not much help since I’m no longer on the dept.

Thank you!

I wish you would tell me how to do receive only, non affiliate scan on MSWIN. I have a 2500 that I would love to do that with.

I myself did not do it and no radio dealer around will not do it. They are not very friendly about it either. They say they don’t want unwanted radios on their system. But check this guy out on eBay he did a fantastic job on mine.

Hopefully this will help. You can not talk you will get dead tone. Picks up better than any scanner and you won’t miss any traffic. It is pricey and takes some tone but totally worth it.

Yes, some of rankin is phase 2 and all of Madison is phase 1 but some of the rankin tg’s are phase 1 as I’m listening to about half of them on my xts2500 model 1.5. I was seeing on this forum if anyone knew the hi-band (VHF) tones for each dept but looks like I will just be getting the Minitor VI with no tones programmed in just to monitor the frequency thanks for the help anyways. It was greatly appreciated.

Also did note that Ridgeland Pd Madison Pd and JSU Pd are still using the xts portables as far as I know. As I’ve seen officers still wearing them as of this month. If they were all phase 2 no way I could hear them on an xts radio since they are only phase 1. Only APX radios will do phase 2. Too bad they cost a couple thousand even for the lowest model the APX1000.

Blake I have set my scanner to the 155.0700 frequency and put it in standby mode and going to start compiling a list today. Send me a private message and we can connect. I live in Pelahatchie. Take Care
