Anyone have the freq's for the Rapid City PD - is there a Rapid City PD or does Antrim Sheriff cover that area?
I saw someone pulled over in that little speed trap they were running there ('til "someone" cut down the overhanging branch that blocked the first 35 MPH sign  ) ... it looked like a local-type car.

Ummm, Rapid City is Kalkaska County's district. Rapid City has no police units that I know of or have ever heard of. Got a color of the car?

Kalkaska PD has been known to go as far as the GT county line before when the county needs help with a BOL or something like it, but I can't imagine that they would go all the way to RC to do some traffic stuff.

Kalkaska is in Rapid City quite often.

Hope that helps.

Oh yea, Kalkaska County's freq: 154.800, and KC Dispatch monitors Statewide 7 on the 800meg system.

Rapid City

Rapid City is indeed in Kalkaska County - thanks for squaring me up.
Must've been KCSD I saw if there's no local PD.
My mom lives in Alden (I KNOW that's in Antrim County!), and says she used to see them in their little hidey-hole there all the time. She'd warn me every time I came over to watch out in Rapid City.

Thanks for the info, Brother!

Yea, KCSD seems to hang out quite a bit in Rapid City. Especially in the area where it goes from 55mph straight down to 35mph, then 25mph.

I just happened to have business out in Rapid City, so I asked a local if they in fact had a PD, which resulted in a puzzled looking face. :?

Did you happen to see the Rapid City ASTRO tower on your travels through? It's amazing how I can be less then 5 miles away from the tower and still have a crappy signal because of all the pine trees absorbing all that RF in Rapid City!

(Oh and BTW, you're welcome!! )
