The Amazon basic high capacity AA rechargeable's are identical to the Eneloop Pro batteries. The only difference is the name on the battery and the cost. At the time of this post the Amazon batteries are available for around $20 for an eight pack. During my last trip to Los Angeles my 436 using these batteries was getting around 12 hours a set. Considering the scanner in LA never shuts up that's a great run time.

Those Amazon Basics are legit from everything I have heard and read. I am up to 7 quads right now, so kind of hard for me to justify buying anymore AAs at this point.
Glad they are working out for you, they are definitely a great value for the performance they provide.
I know we have interacted before on here, but I can't remember if you smart charge in something outside of the scanner?
If so I would be interested in what readings/results you getting out of them.
