What channels does Rattlesnake operate on? I heard a call out on 155.325 - listed as Elizabeth FD Dispatch. It sounded like it was coming from 2 separate repeaters - one that was weak and then one that was very strong. I heard nothing else on that channel.

Elizabeth FPD is the only department dispatched on 155.325, I think its simulcast on 153.920 as well. 154.205 is used between Elizabeth & Franktown for mutual aid.

There are 3 frequencies for Rattlesnake FPD, I know they use two different repeaters for dispatching but I'm not 100% sure which ones. They're 158.880, 151.040 & 150.805, if you're close enough they do a nightly test tone at 1900 or 2000 every day.

My mistake - it was 155.385 not 155.325 that I heard the dispatch on! It was labeled as Louisville Fire in my bank. Still not one of the frequencies you had listed.

155.385 is also licensed to Rattlesnake so that would make sense.

I've heard that before and seems like Elbert County pages them off two towers just liked you mentioned, believe to better cover the volunteers minitors in different parts of the district.

I will listen to the channels. I have never been able to hear Elizabeth FD clearly on 155.325 - I'll hear tones and it will be garbled. Anyways, I'll keep listening to Rattlesnake and see what I hear. Since Rattlesnake isn't listed in the database, I will submit the frequencies?

I never noticed that before, you're right that is a needed addition. My experience with Elizabeth's VHF is you have to be in or very close to Elizabeth to hear it clearly.

A lot of Elbert County are using P25, so you might want to monitor their TG's For now it's just Elbert Co. Fire. Hopfully in the near future they will have thier separate TG's.

That's true, Rattlesnake is using DTR for some of their operations, but not alerting.

I was going to echo the same comments these small rural volunteer departments can't afford DTRS portables for all the members and there's not a cheap pager options so many places remain with a VHF paging channel operational.
