I caught part of the Ray Nixon fire traffic. Apparently it is Fountain 1st due area. Colorado Springs FD was also called. They were on Command 4.

Looking at the map, Hanover Station 2 is right across the interstate from the plant. Were they called to the scene?

I didn't hear Hanover at all but 1 Fountain engine, and CSFD E11, E13, E16, T1, T4, T8, Hazmat 14, D1, D2, DC20, Squad-7, Air-15, X194, X195 responded. I may have missed some and Cimmaron Hills FD ladder truck moved up to Colorado Springs for station coverage.

Hanover is a volunteer fire district so they would have had to be call in for that.

And CSFD has been on modified dispatch since the incident started and are finally about to go back to normal as soon as E16 calls back in service.

I understand that there are city/county/state boundaries for emergency services, but when you look at a map and see where a station is closer to of an incident than even the first due unit and they don't respond, it doesn't make any sense.
