Very very interesting!

It says that ATCO Electric provides comms for north and east central Alberta, but they do work all over the planet on infrastructure projects.

Currently the comms used by ATCO Electric are conventional repeaters in the 138/140 MHz split. These are also used by the other electric service infrastructure providers - FORTISAlberta and AltaLINK are the other two major players - across the province.

Are 80 towers enough to cover the entire province? I have my doubts. Though maybe it is if you're only going to cover areas where hydro transmission lines are run.
