Hello, I have a question, are RC-135's still in active service?? I work very close to Selfridge air base here in Harrison Twp. Michigan and I believe one flew into the base this morning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Yes. Looks like there is one over Texas at the moment.

Very much, I live in in the region of Offutt AFB, and the RC-135 fleet is alive and well, We have the RC-135/W and RC-135V Rivet Joints used for SIGINT, the RC135S Cobra Ball used to track ballistic missiles and thier MIRVs, the RC13U Combat Sent, to identify hostile weapons systems and send that information back to our strategic planners, the RC-135W Constant Phoenix who searches for atmospheric radiation, from a nuclear accident or a weapons test, and there is a OC-135B whose mission is to fly over nuclear armed countries and verify they are observing treaties... All of them aircraft are flown from Offutt AFB in Bellevue Nebraska, 55th Wing, USAF.

Also Selfridge has a KC-135T unit that is based there, the difference is the paint, the KC-135 are all Gray while the RC variants are gray and white.

And the antenna complement. :)

The paint scheme can be changed, depending on the proposed operational environment.
