RCMP in Labrador

I was just curious, I have a BCD436HP and I live in Goose Bay, and up until last night it was receiving the RCMP talkgroup in Goose Bay perfectly fine, and now as of this morning nothing at all...I did hear a conversation between the members and what they call their OCC is "97" and nine seven was telling them to switch to spare channel 3 until the encryption update was complete on the main channel... I am wondering what they possibly may have done... I can still see the talk status indicator on my screen change when they key up their mics, but I have no audio, and I checked my volume and nothing is muted or turned down... Any suggestions?

Sounds like they were successful in updating the encryption on the main channel (talkgroup). I don't have one of those radios, but I expect it mutes encrypted transmissions.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge of the system will chime in...

The BCD436HP like all scanners can not decode encrypted transmissions.
