So it appears as though the whole re-banding issue has everyone in a tizzy. I am assuming that RadioShack might release a firmware update for my Pro-96 so I won't have to worry much about that, but for my Pro-95 what are the implications?

Well, they might, and then again they might not. AFAIK neither Uniden nor RS has commented on this issue. As for the older scanners, who knows? I have a Pro-91, (same as a BC235XLT) do you think that will be fixed, I don't think so.cpohlad said:
Well, I don't imagine Uniden or RS will let their upgradeable scanners be affected by this. I might just have to use my Pro-95 as a conventional scanner eventually. I like to listen to airband, and it's a pretty good airband scanner, so I guess I can handle that.
