Motorola consoles, using a two or more channel radio, the dispatcher will hear all x amount of channels. This is why sometimes you will hear a dispatcher answer a unit on the other channel before they hook up on another channel, as there is no indication one which one it being received. Kind of hard to explain without showing you the console etc etc.

RAFS is not on a trunked system unless you are listening to a patch through a municipality's system (Hartford).
I listen to the original UHF channels 460.0750 RAFS 1 (East) and 460.1750 is RAFS 2 (West). Per the CRCOG web page, 854.9125 is RAFS 1 (East), and 857.4125 is RAFS 2 (West).

Ct SP rebanding

from a earlier post that stated: Rumor is the State Police is Re-Banding sometime in December.

Is there any update on the Connecticut State police updating. If so when might or when will it be happening.

Thanks

If I run into any other information, I will post it to this thread, but so far, I have nothing.
Maybe Alarmroom can shed some light.....

Groton Town PD Rebanded.

Groton Town PD has rebanded Channel 1 from 868.400 DCS 155 to 853.400
DCS 155.
I am also assuming they have rebanded channel 2 from 866.575 DSC 155 to
851.575 DCS 155. Have yet to confirm Channel 2 change.

no wonder meriden can't get any good distance out of their radios. 15/35 watts. i know 800mhz is pretty low powered but man. last i knew higher the freq shorter the distance too. i can remember meriden being inv in a chase a few years ago and losing tx's from the cars. hope thats been corrected since then
