thats an old link, it is now ScanNewEngland ... FWIW, you had the last post in that thread. West Hartford Rebanding - Scan New England Forums

West Hartford has been a slow process. I would guess Keith will post when it is underway or done. I will not be around to see it unless it occurs in the next 5 weeks. West Hartford is also getting microwave links to the 3 remote sites courtesy of a Fed grant. That still has to be bid out etc.

I guess when and if the csp goes to 700, I'll have to invest in a new scanner as the pro 96 won't cut it for that. Hey maybe they should do a 850/700 combo like the rest of the country. If they do that then maybe other agencies can join in like the rest of the country. Happy Easter all! Hey Firebuff, long time no hear.

There is a separate thread for it, but since it's rebanding I guess it should go here too.

Shelton PD is now on:
852.2500 - PL 110.9
853.4375 - PL 110.9

Hartford Hospital has moved the 868.4625 data channel to 853.4625. I haven't watched the system with Unitrunker as of yet to see if anything else has changed.

Has UConn PD rebanded yet? Their license only shows the new freqs but none of the lists I have seen show the change.

Hartford prepares for rebanding

All suppression division portable radios have been replaced with new M/A-COM P7100ip radios. New radios have been programmed for the rebanding change-over. The FCC website shows that four new frequencies are being added to the system. I assume that they will be replacing the four frequencies that are above 860 Mhz that are in the expansion band. There is a license change pending at the FCC for the new freqs.

None of the mobile radios have been changed yet.

Also, there will be activity on TG 871 when the EOC is staffed. FD plans to use this for coordination of special events. The talkgroup designation is PSCommand.

The crossband repeater (154.310) which rebroadcasts HFD TGS "Dispatch" "Incident 1-3" is intermittently having issues. I've been told that no one wants to repair it. I would be surprised if it is still on the air after rebanding is completed. That is, if it doesn't die sooner.

Updates as they become available.

I tried to pull in Meriden when they were dong the manhunt, but I got nothing here in Shelton with the 96. What's the schedule for the CSP rebanding or should I just wait and see. LOL.

Hartford granted four new system channels

May 26, 2009. Under the callsign of WPSJ542, the FCC has granted four new channels bringing the total number of system channels to twenty.

As stated in an earlier post, I believe that these four new channels will be replacing the four that are above 860 Mhz in the expansion band. However, one of the previous four was deleted and a new channel was added. Apparently the 854.3125 which was recently licensed by the City of Waterbury was concerned about co-channel interference.

The newest channels: ADD 854.0125, ADD 856.0375, ADD 855.0125, ADD 854.5625

Deleted: 854.3125

Now that the new channels have been licensed, look for the rebanding to take the fast track.

Thanks dude! Really appreciate it! I'll pop those in and see what I get. Funny how the just didn't bring them down 15mhz. Must be an interference thing. I'm just filling up banks on the 96 as I see them. Got up to 321 now. How often do they use the Itac-S's. I just put the repeaters in. Actually the more ch's you put on the radio, the more time it takes to load. Funny how the state put up CSpern and the pd's still use the old county lowbands :)

waterbury apparently rebanded their trunk. Not sure what the freqs are. Would be greatly appreciated if someone could post them.

Mo, did you try simply subtracting 15 mhz from the original freqs? That's not quite a hard and fast rule - they don't have to go down that much - but it's a starting point. That's assuming Waterbury really did reband, and it's not something like missing a control channel in your programming. 73 Mike
