"FYI" POSSIBLE NEW MOTOTRBO SYSTEM

I am Recieving What I Believe Is A New Digital TRBO System In The Carson/Tahoe Area.
The Frequencys Are (463.8375 Mhz) And (464.0000 Mhz) They Have Control Channel Type
Data That Alternates Every 60 Seconds Or So. No Analog Voice Heard. License Data For
California And Nevada Do Not Give Any Clues To Who And Where Or What?. It Sounds
Just Like The Peppermill Hotel & Casino (So Virginia St,Reno) Noise That I Get On Their
Frequencys (For Comparison). These Frequencys Have Been Silent For Quite Some Time.
So Its Definently New. Both Give Morse Code I.D.

Its the Geothermal Powerplant south of Reno at Steamboat (US 395 at SR 431) - they just added this freq recently 463/468.8375 - they also use 463/468.6625 and 464/469.4375 - morse code sent is WHQG-521 I think the company name is Ormat Reno or Ormat Nevada - or something similar - Can't say anything about 464/469.0000 for sure except according to FCC database it seems to be a new license for R. R Donnelley at Stead WQKP-867

I Saw Those Licenses On The List,But I Was Convinced They Were One Off The
Casinos Up At Lake Tahoe. Uhf Has Been Fading In And Out Id Be Searching 451.0000-453.0000
And 461.0000-470.0000 Picking Up Low Power Rptrs From Reno Sites I Have Never Picked Up Before,
Malls,Casinos and MOTOTRBO Signals Would Fade In And Out, Then They Fade Away And Then
Casinos And Ski Resorts Up At Lake Tahoe And Farther West Would Boom In Then MOTOTRBO
Data Would Reapear. There Are A Lot Of Rptrs At The Hotels And Casinos At The Lake That
Are Not Licensed Or Using DBA From Other States To Add To The Confusion. 464.0000 I Thought
Was Part Of The Same System As 463.8375 Since The Signal Strength Was About The Same.
It Is 06:00am Tues And No Signal From 464.0000 Period! , 463.8375 Popped In And Then Gone.
Any Way Ill Look Up That GeoThermal Operation On The Internet And See Whats Up.

I Can Hear The MDT Telem From Churchill Co Sheriff 460.2250 About The Same Signal Strength.
Iam Using A Omni Directional UHF 5/8 Wave Over 5/8 Wave Over 5/8 Wave High Gain 6.5db, Coax Is
LMR-400 With N Connectors With Adapters To BNC Rcvr PRO-163#1 As Primary Searching Radio For
UHF. My Location Is Near State Route 88 @ The Nv/Ca Stateline. I Also Search 800Mhz +/- With
BCT-15 Using LMR-400 Utilizing 14db 800/900mhz Yagi, PRO-163#2 Searching VHF Highband Using
RG-8U Utilizing Omni 5/8 And 1/4 Wave (Pickup A Lot Of Interference With 5/8) But Gain Is Much Better
Than The 1/4, Trying To Track Down Noise Freq Counter Is Eratic Anyway Getting Off Track Here Next
Time I Go To Reno I Will Stop By Steamboat Facility And Monitor With My Mobile Toys.
