read Mototrbo GPS location

Hey all,

Does anyone knows if it is possible to readout the received GPS locations on a Mototrbo Radio?

I mean, without a "difficult to get" or expensive program like trbonet, but by writing own software?

Or is there a freeware software or not to expensive?

#123# on a display radio will show you the GPS info you are wanting.

TRBO GPS Software

I know this thread is a year old all ready... but FYI Motorola release a software tool called MotoTrbo Site Survey. It requires 2 radios, 1 a transmitter/poller and the other a Receiver. It then uses its internal GPS to plot Lat/Long and RSSI on GOOGLE earth as a .KML file. You also have the option to export it in a .CSV format.

Im sorry i did not check back into this thread. If you have access to Motorola Online it is available there under the Mototrbo section and under Data. I do not think I am able to send it/post it due to licenses factors. However it is a piece of software that moto developed but DOES NOT SUPPORT it says that when your installing it. Its just a tool. There is a brand new version of it out now.

Viewing GPS data on a Motorola Turbo 6550

On the keyboard press # 1 2 3 #

A "new" menu option will open. Using left and right direction keys, scroll to GPS info, press OK...

From that point is it fairly clear what you are looking at.
