I live new san diego in the imperial valley, Brawley CA to be exact. part of sandiego rcs system.
first- i need an Antenna. Id like one i can take in my car. i dont care what it looks like. looks arent important here hahah. I drive a 02 mitshbishi eclipse but whatever works good although not larger than my car ahah.. my dad said something about one i can a=mount on my home window? what do you guys with experience personally prefer.. my dad has oneon his roof-sat in garage 2 yrs cuz it was sooo massive none of my brothers wanted to helo him put it up.. it needed a crane practically.. too funny..
second-car chargers? checked ebay but saw none but then i guess i cant buy everything on ebay eh..

i did read your WIKI and that thing is awesome. see-thats why i never post im too busy reading and the databse that hooks up to the arc program is so fun. and timesaving.funny i like manually programming equally as with software weirdo eh.

ok so let me know what you think would be a good antenna for my home or car or both... here is more info about my local.. i think im below sea level too i live by salton sea.. kinda..

ps-my husband regrets buying me this. i never sleep and listen to it constantly -cant run to store w/o it..Ahhhh crazy...

If all else fails, a 1/4 wave VHF NMO mount on a magnet never fails. :)

I used to have all sorts of custom tuned single band antennas sprouting from every flat panel of my car, but eventually got a scanner with a S meter, and found 1/4 wave VHF whips do amazing on VHF and 800, with a slight loss on UHF. I found 1/4 VHF whip trumped Motorola 1/4 800 and pigtail factory antennas on OEm mounts, that was suprising. Maybe thy have better scanner antennas now?
