I have a bcd996xt and when i do a quick search it receives the channel but does not show the pl or nac. Is there a way to show the pl tone and the nac?

You're tone/code search is probably set to off. To set it:
Menu-->srch/cloCall opt--> tone/code search. Then select CTCSS/DCS or P25 NAC search

that was it. It must have changed itself when i reprogrammed it.
