Realistic Pro 2009 Volume Issue

I have a pro 2009 scanner with low audio.
Having the the volume turned all the way up you can hear
it only if your sitting next to it.
So turning the volume half way you cant hear anything.
External Speaker did not help.
Ive read the pro 2006 had audio issues.
I cant find anything on the pro 2009.
Any response would be helpful

radio scanner issues with noise

i get a lot of interference. is there anything that you could recommend should i upgrade?
i am upgrading to a radio shack nascar handheld radio scanner.i am going from analog to digital. this is the end for analog realistic radio scanner for me i will keep it on.
