REALISTIC PRO 2011 SCANNING ISSUE

hi community i have a pro 2011 base scanner here that seems to work fine except when scanning threw channels and i cant firgure out how to fix it . The problem is when i go to scan threw all 20 channels the scanner will pick up a voice transmission and then in stead of holding on the channel until the conversation is done it takes off and scan threw the rest of the channels. I have messed with the squelch and put it on 2 also tried putting the delay on and it still does this. Only way to use this radio is to hold on one channel and it works fine doing this. If anyone can give me a idea how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Is the scan button sticky, and constantly engaged?

As mentioned before, sticky button or adjust the squelch setting knob a little and see if that helps.

Hey guys none of this worked. I will just use this scanner as a single channel monitor . As I have many others scanners to use for other things.
