I picked up a Radio Shack PRS-100 today at a garage sale. Does anyone have any information on this two way radio? It has two channels. Thanks...Dave

I have two of them. Bought new about 12-13 years ago. They are GMRS 1-watt radios. The channels are GMRS 7 and either 2 or 4 from what I remember. I still use them occasionally these days. They have been very dependable radios for many years.

Thanks Cleve, Doug K, and 14Gage, what a pile of info! I told the guy at the garage sale I would get info here. Your quick info is why I believe so much in this site...thank you!...Dave

Channel 1 = 462.7125 MHz (FRS 7)
Channel 2 = 462.6375 MHz (FRS 4)

A very basic radio with 1W transmit power, no CTCSS/PL capability (i.e., CSQ only), wide bandwidth (5 kHz deviation). Manufactured for RS by Maxon.
