Last three days heard radio traffic from TCFD to various Twp. Fire Units that "Rebanded" radios were ready for pick up. Also, "Radio Service" has been busy doing on the air testing with TCFD TG coming up on the screen. Noticed the latest "Voice" Channel was 868.83750. Guess it's time to starting listening to the four "Voice" frequencies 852.71250, 853.11250, 853.58750, and 853.83750. Also, Notice that none of the Control Channels currently in use are on the "Reconfiguration" list for WPUS488.

A quick look at the FCC ULS for WPUS488 shows a 31-Jul-2008 request for a change from "YF" to "YE" and all the new freqs are listed.

Rebanding Completed Yet?

Has the rebanding been completed yet? If yes, what do you use for a custom table in Win500?

Hey all. I'm new to this and am trying to understand all this technical stuff. Ok,so rebanding is where new freqs are put in for the control channels to assign to for the TGID's at given times? I have only the three cc's ; 855.73750; 856.73750 and 857.73750 programed into my radio. So far I don't seem to be missing anything.

RDALE, thanks. The list of freqs for Tipp Co has two sets of numbers listed; pre banding and post banding. Both have the same control channels. Wouldn't this mean that there is no need to reprogram our radios as long as the cc's are programed in? I'm asking this to better understand.I don't want to listen to the scanner; I want to understand the whys and hows of scanning. Thanks in advance to anyone for you knowledge.-john

You'll need to change things around depending on the scanner - check the Wiki part on "rebanding" and that should answer a lot of your questions.
