Does anyone have any info. about the rebanding here in Oregon?
Looking at the Region 35 site, they haven't even had a meeting for over two years. You would think there would be some discussion about it there.
Perhaps they are holding secret meetings. :)

Relax. It has very little to do with the regional committee.

It is between the TA and the Licensee

So are you saying the Channel Assignment list they publish is, or will be, after the fact?

The Region 35 committee is still very much alive and active, though I haven't seen regular updates to their website in quite a while, as you indicate.

Rebanding is occurring in Oregon in wave 1. Negotiations are currently underway. At least one of the major 800MHz systems in the Portland Area is actively working out their plans.

This link will show you what the new frequency assignments will be. This, of course, will not do much for you until they actually become active, which I'm told should be sometime in late 2006.

I think that link will only tell you the assignments for NPSPAC frequencies, and anyone who can subtract 15 from a number can get those.

Which agency is how far into the process?

Do you know if they are working with a consultant or a vendor on it?

Maybe this helps

http://wireless.fcc.gov/publicsafety/800MHz/bandreconfiguration/faq-npspac.html

Will Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) be allowed to "repack" at the same time as they modify regional plans due to reconfiguration?

No. In order to expedite the reconfiguration process, “repacking” will not be permitted at the same time as regions update their NPSPAC plans as a result of reconfiguration. However, if RPCs wish to repack channels and have an amended plan submitted to, and approved by, the Commission before their region is reconfigured, they are free to do so. In the event that such an amended plan has not been approved by the time the region in question is to be reconfigured, reconfiguration will proceed according to the then-existing plan.

if i remeber correct, their is a freeze on new applications as each wave enters the negotiation period. This permits the TA to make decisions without worrying about someone making a change.

There is a later freeze date (21-31-05 I think) for NPSPAC channels.
