This morning I heard the dispatcher announce "Attention all units, please report to (location) between 0900-1500 (9am - 3pm) for your radios to be reprogrammed." Is this the rebanding that has been dreaded? Has it already begun? :(

It's much more likely a group was getting reloaded with new talkgroups or freqs for a tac operation - I think there's been some reports about this on the City system. No, I don't know what they would be.....73s Mike

Anne Arundel did some type of radio upgrade/swap several months ago... They had medical units reporting to a fire station in Glen Burnie (I assume because it was near North Arundel, er, I mean, Baltimore Washington Medical Cener - and they could catch alot of them as they were leaving the hospital.

As a user of these radios, I haven't noticed any changes - yet.

You might notice that you can TX medical data without the ptt time out timer cutting you off.

I assume you mean this enabled the TX of a 12 lead (cardiac monitor data) to the ER on the EMRC talk groups...

If so, I was not aware the PTT would actually cut you off... do you mean lif someone had an open mike, the system would automatically disable it after a while?

Never noticed that - must be a pretty long period before the timeout kicks in.
