Recent changes in SEGARRN System in Glynn County.

Seeing regular Police Dispatch channels going Encrypted. Is this temporary or permanent? Any news from local listeners?

I cant speak for glynn county because im in Savannah but id say they may go full or use a combo or clear and encrypted, really hard to say. I have logged about a dozen unidentified talk groups though.

Brunswick has been Enc for some time now.. I believe the S.O. is Enc.
Glynn Co. Police was the last L.E. holdouts from what I recall. They were in the clear 2 weeks ago.
But there has been quite a lot of changes in that area over the past year. No telling what will happen.

(The 500 series are towards the Savannah area. A few agencies in SC are on the SEGRRN also)

I dont want to hijack this thread but I have around 15 or so unidentified talk groups all in various ranges, I may post a thread for others to submit unknown ID's,

They announced "radio upgrades" via their official facebook, but it seems the upgrade was full time encryption on all their talkgroups. They host a broadcastify feed of their dispatch channel, but I'm hearing it's got a long delay on it.

Yup a 2 hour delay if in not mistaken
