I have been away from the hobby and from doing much more than quickly reading RR lately due to a new baby and a hectic work schedule. Alas, I have quite a bit to share, including some oddities.

46.80R, 151.4 (actual 150.0), VT National Guard Civil Support Team

46.90R, 151.4 (actual 150.0), VT Army National Guard Mt. Mansfield repeater

122.2 AM, newer BTV flight service freq (first heard 02/23/16)

141.650 AM, VT National Guard operations

151.3175R, DCS065, Shelburne Dispatch

151.4750R, DCS165, AOT District 6, confirmed 2/25/16

151.5125, DCS174, Gardeners Supply Williston

151.625, DCS754, unknown fire department, discussion of an engine and crew coming back from some event near Rutland, probably simplex, heard in Shelburne or Essex area (my notes are not clear)-- probably Shelburne or Charlotte if I had to guess, as their town highway trucks use this frequency for informal chat (however with DCS065)

154.145R, 114.8, Hinesburg FD/EMS

154.310R, CSQ, Richmond FD phone patch, confirmed 02/09/16 – normal repeater has output tone of 186.2. I am not sure what the story is with the phone patch, I have never heard it before or since. I am guessing it may be a different actual physical repeater since the audio sounded very different than the regular Richmond FD repeater.

155.025, 162.2, Williston Highway Dept.

155.220R, 173.8, Middlebury EMS

155.415, CSQ, Addition County SO car-to-car simplex, confirmed firsthand

155.715 in Addison County…I still do not have a firm grasp of exactly who is on this repeater with what tone and for what purpose. It seems it may change often, like I am told Essex used to do. The only firsthand knowledge I have that is known to be 100% correct comes from programming some radios for area agencies, and that is 155.715 CSQ being known as the primary AC mutual aid “en route” simplex channel. Which seems silly to me if every agency in the area will be talking with different tones on that same frequency if the protocol is followed (protocol is to change to 154.280 CSQ once on scene).
Here are some recent hits on 155.715:

155.715R, 114.8, Monkton and Starksboro Fire/EMS, confirmed 02/11/16
155.715R, 167.9, Ferrisburgh Fire, confirmed 12/03/15
155.715R, 210.7, Vergennes Fire, confirmed 12/03/15

157.375, 127.3, crossband link to 453.150 Hinesburg/Shelburne PDs
172.900R, NAC100, TSA at BTV, confirmed 02/03/16

453.150R, 118.8, Hinesburg/Shelburne PDs

453.850R, 118.8, Williston PD F1

453.850R, NAC874 encrypted, Williston PD F16

460.175R, 118.8, Springfield PD

460.175R, DCS065, South Burlington PD F1

460.175R, NAC654 encrypted, South Burlington PD

460.350R, DCS411, Washington County SO

460.850R, DCS244, Heritage Aviation BTV

462.6125 CSQ (FRS 10), Williston Goodwill store

464.775R, 118.8, FCC shows most likely UVM or Sugarbush Mountain. Heard two males speaking to a female. Only the female’s radio had an MDC ID sound. The males both called her “mom”. There was a short, informal chat about weekend plans. Then a male voice came on the air and said something about “rescue communications” and asked them to “cease and desist transmitting”, at which point they did exactly that. Listened for three more hours and did not hear anything. This was 02/11/16 around 1400 local time. I do now have this frequency in the “interesting things” scan lists in all of my scanners, however only hear occasional short conversations about nothing in particular, usually “where are you?” and “I will be right there” type of traffic.

467.900, 67.0, Bed Bath and Beyond Williston, confirmed

46.8000 was thought to be an ALT Range Control channel (Simplex)

My pleasure. And I owe you an email sir :)

46.800 is a repeater output; I am not 100% sure of the official designation but I have only ever heard the CST on there recently. They will say "CST XXX" as a callsign. "Green Mountain Boy XXX" and "Green Mountain Base" are rarely heard on here compared to 46.900. There was a phone patch on 46.800 as of March, 2013, in my notes. I used to live literally right outside the main gate to EAFR and never heard much on 46.800; on post, there are signs everywhere indicating 46.60 as Range Control with no secondary listed. So I am not sure where it comes from that this is a RC secondary. The only other frequency I have heard RC on was 46.930, used during Annual Training in 2012 and 2013. There is also a cache of VHF high band HTs there, I think they are only six channel, and I never heard any FM LMR traffic on VHF high from the post, even being within easy simplex monitoring range.

46.900 is busy, with radio checks roughly on the hour I believe, and all kinds of comms on drill weekends.

I do still monitor low band, though not daily.

DCS047
DCS132
114.8
141.3
156.7
162.2
