I have a Uniden BCD325P2 scanner and am trying to receive a p25 talk group.

My scanner is able to locate the control channel and shows 5 bars at this frequency. However, when someone transmits the frequency changes, the bars go down to 2, and rarely hear anything.

I feel like my antenna is adequate to receive all the frequencies. The main control channel is 139 but most transmission are in the 150’s.
