I've just received my new scanner and have a question about the length of time the charge should last on the batteries. I charged it all day yesterday, listened during the evening and some more today and now I have to charge the batteries again. How long should the batteries last?

I figure on getting about 8 hours of "run time" on a battery charge. I leave the back light on so I can see the display better. That drains the charge a little more.

This can differ from user to user depending in what the scanner is having to do. If you are listening to a busy department (lots of audio) then of course this will lessen the battery time compared to if it sits idle and just scans a majority of the time. There is also a setting to how long the scanner charges in the settings menu.

Battery life will vary depending on how much time the scanner spends playing audio, volume level, backlight settings, etc. 8 hours is a reasonable average battery life.
