hi all
I have a CC WIFI radio that allows me to custom load internet audio streams. I load them through Recieva.com. As a result, I have several scanner feeds from RR. Trouble is some feeds seem to work, while others do not. Is there a "best place" to get the correct URL for recieva?
Thanks
I have several internet radios on Receiva & Denon platforms.
I have many CC WiFi radios in the mix.
It is poss & easy to listen to RR or most any scanner feed on them.
All you need is the feed URL.
Here is how:
Option 1:
Open iTunes and make sure you your have selected Music at the top left to see all the music in iTunes.
Go to a RR feed.
Choose iTunes as the player.
Cluck on the feed speaker & make sure that the dialog box displays iTunes as the player.
Choose iTunes as the player & let the feed open in iTunes.
Once iTunes is playing the feed, right click on the feed name & select Get Info.
This will open a dialog box.
Click on (Edit URL) at the bottom right.
The feed URL is now shown.
Copy the feed URL & past it into your Internet radio web site feed listings.
For Recieva radios that is called My Stuff.
It may be different for your radio.
Keep in mind that rour radio gets the feed URL's from your radio web site.
You can do the same as above in WinAmp.
Note: Use above procedure but replace iTunes with WinAmp
or
Option 2:
Open WinAmp. Make sure the Bookmarks are showing.
Play the feed in WinAmp.
In winAmp, you go to File, Play Bookmark then to Add current as Bookmark & click the mouse.
Your ffeed is now a WinAmp bookmark.
Go the the bottom of the bookmark list & you will see the feed listed.
Right Click on the feed & go to Edit selected Bookmarks.
There you will see the feed URL.
Copy the feed URL & past it into your Internet radio web site feed listings.
The only time a feed URL will change is if we make a major change in the RR feed URL scheem or if the feed mount point changes on the feed.
Note:
On Recieva radios, is the feed is running with tags, the feed audio will burp & make other noises & may eve disconnect due to RealPlayer in the radio dot being able to decode the stream well. This is a known issue & Recieva has never fixed.
