Recieving 700 Mhz traffic in Concord Area?

OK I did a search and came up short. I am was picking up traffic on what seems to be a trunked system last night on
794.284375
794.565625
794.559375
794.7125 - seems to be a control channel
794.615625
794.559375

Some seemed like fire dept traffic. They talked about ballantyne area. That made me think this is Charlotte area but I see no listing in the data base. Anybody got any ideas i appreciate it.

Okay, so I am not going crazy after all!

With what little I have been able to use my new PSR 500, I have played with the preprogrammed search features. I picked up some traffic on 794.XXXXXX frequencies during the search, at least one being a control channel.

I suspected someone was playing 700 mhz P25 TRS. Your post helps in raising my suspicions.

Unfortunately, I am not set up yet with Unitrunker or one of the other decoder programs.

Hopefully others will join in with more info.

Oh boy... I hope I can get it from NE Charlotte... how was the signal from Concord & Mooresville area?

Also to add, where does the 700 MHz public safety spectrum specifically start/end? According to the 700 MHz interop channels, it starts around 769 and ends at 805.

You are probably hearing intermod or images from a 800 MHz system.

The 700 MHz band plan is:
746-776 base/repeater
776-806 mobile

The public safety voice allocations are 769-775 base/repeater and 799-805 mobile.

There is no 700 MHz public safety frequencies on the air in the Charlotte / Concord area.

They are most likely images of the Charlotte Meck TRS.

It is definately Charlotte. Its coming in on my pro 164 as good as Charlotte TRS does on 800.

Could be images I guess.

The public safety voice allocations are 769-775 base/repeater and 799-805 mobile.

Actually, the freqs for Public Safety extend below 769 and just above 775 (we have Public Safety voice traffic here in CO on freqs as low as 764 for base/repeater)
