Recomended antenna for HP1

My Dad has a HP1 and the standard Uniden antenna seems to do well,

any recommendations on a telescopic antenna that he might be able to adjust. for better VHF aircraft ?

Take a look at this one. It worked well for me on my HP-1, and can be adjusted to a length appropriate for whatever band you're interested in. There is a frequency chart with suggested lengths on the antenna itself. It has a swivel, so it can be collapsed and 'folded down' to lay across the top of the scanner.

I use the same antenna on my HP-1 and it works very well, much better than the stock antenna.

Thanks Gentlemen, Just ordered one from Universal radio for my Dad, after reading eham reviews on this model.

But did order a similar model for my HP1 maybe same China company from eBay for $17
