Recommendations for Good scanners

I like all the new digital technologies in my mobile and portable scanners but am now in the market to leave Uniden behind because the longevity seems to be an issue now with Uniden. I have 15 unidens and all of which are dead except 1. I sent all my unidens in for repair and the repair turnarounds, time for it to show on the website, and the attitude I get back when I inquire why the long delay makes me want to try another manufacturer that is worthy of me raking out my money to. I WANT TOUGH, NEW TECHNOLOGY AND BULLET PROOF TO BE IN A HIGH RF ENVIRONMENT they won't die like my unidens. I know I am not the first to go thru these issues and am serious about needing recommendations. Thank you
