I had recently purchase an Electroline drop amp and now need a couple of cable assemblies. I was looking at the Radio Shack website, and saw a couple and would like to ask you guys for recommendations on which ones to use. The lengths will be right around 6-10 feet. I would need both ends to have male bnc connectors. I really don't know the differences between rg8, rg9, rg58, etc....

I was able to buy all the cables and adapters on eBay that you need to hook up the Electroline to your scanners

When I hooked up my DA I ran new rg6 with F connectors to everything but the radios. Why the need for bnc on both ends?

Because I have already purchased bnc to f connector adapters.

Where do you find cables that have an F connector on one end and a BNC on the other ?

That I'm not sure. I'm still waiting for my Electroline in the mail.

Hey Kmacka,
I think you need F-male to BNC male cable assemblies. Electroline(F-male)and then to your scanner(BNC male)
I am going to start selling cables that match the criteria that you need but still did not put the prices on my website. All cables are RG-6 quad sheild.
Drop me a pm.
Take care
