Anyone set there R30 to record and scan frequencies? I haven't done this yet but curious what it lists on an active frequency, such as type of transmission, pl code, ect.. If you have a screen shot, would be cool to see. Thanks
Gave it a try yesterday for a bit. Looks pretty much like the pictures in the advanced manual. Still experimenting. Was scanning mil air band. Want to find a strong frequency that the R30 finds but can't here voice due to use of PL codes used. Hopefully it will display it in the log.
So I'm a little confused at what exactly you expected Record to do: it records what you have received. It writes time/date stamp, frequency and mode to the .wav file. It doesn't write PL or DPL tone. On digital modes it will also write the details of the Code/TGID/UID to the .wav file tags too.

PL tones shouldn't be preventing you to hear anything. If you have programmed the wrong PL tone the you wont hear voice.
If you need to search for the right DPL/PL tone try:
- In the MR scan group and the P Scan group at the bottom of the list there is a tone selection.
- Pause the radio on a channel and hit the scan button, scroll to the end to tone then hit the scan button again.
