Recording my scanner only and eliminating the ambient noise around me.

Hey guys. I've been recording my Uniden bcd996p2 and I keep getting all this ambient noise from my environment. Is there a way to eliminate that? Like some kind of configuration or routing or something?

Use the line out jack in the back. Set what you want to record in the programming. Might need a ground loop isolator in the audio line.

Mute the microphone.
